In Korea, recycled acrylic plates are produced by collecting waste acrylic from signboard companies at recycled acrylic production plants. Acrylic is a recyclable material and is recycled by pulverizing waste acrylic and distilling it under heat at 500°C. Classified as down-cycling, it can produce products that are cost effective compared to other virgin acrylic products.
